Jessica Nielsen is a senior in the Templeton Honors College at Eastern University, where she is majoring in history and minoring in environmental science. In the future she hopes to pursue a career in environmental policy, but for now she enjoys studying late antiquity and the middle ages. When not at school she works for Washington State’s Department of Natural Resources as a wildland firefighter. Besides school and work she enjoys reading, writing, hiking, and playing with her cat, Romeo.
Jordan hails from Perkasie, Pennsylvania and is currently a senior in the Templeton Honors College. She is majoring in English Literature with hopes of pursuing a career in teaching after graduation. Her literary interests include C.S. Lewis, Jane Austen, G.M. Hopkins, Mary Oliver, and Christina Rossetti. She also enjoys fairytales, sleuthing, Monet, avocados, opera, grocery shopping with her mom and sister, and watching cows graze in her backyard.
Wayne Brown is a junior in the Templeton Honors College at Eastern University, where he studies history, accounting, and finance. He currently works for High Tower finance, and in his spare time enjoys reading everything from Aristotle to the Wall Street Journal. He firmly believes that business and philosophy must be inseparable. Wayne attends Holy Ascension Antiochian Orthodox Church in West Chester, PA.
Elise is a sophomore in the Templeton Honors College majoring in English literature and minoring in Mathematics and Orthodox Thought and Culture. She grew up overseas in the Sultanate of Oman, where she developed a love for hiking and for trails with shade trees. She also enjoys reading and taking naps. When she graduates in 2019, she hopes to work as an editor.
A junior in the Templeton Honors College, Emmalee is originally from Philadelphia and is pursuing a major in History and minors in Philosophy and Orthodox Thought and Culture. Her other interests include theology, psychology, and literature, especially poetry. She enjoys reading a diverse variety of authors and texts, ranging from the classics to the modernists, but has a particularly special place in her heart for twentieth-century imagists.
Madeleine Harris hails from North Carolina and is a rising senior in the Templeton Honors College at Eastern University pursuing a degree in philosophy. Her interests mainly lie in moral philosophy and frolicking barefoot in forests.
